The front desk line, always answered.
The phone still books real rooms. A Kalibri Labs study of 80 million bookings found the voice channel accounts for about 8 percent of all hotel bookings, and those stays run longer than nearly every other channel. But your desk can't answer at 2 a.m., and it can't answer mid-check-in. Elora picks up every call to your property, around the clock, takes the booking request or the message, and texts whoever needs to know.
After-hours callers are ready to book now
A traveler three time zones ahead calls once. If nobody answers, they book a property that does. Elora takes booking requests at any hour (dates, room needs, name, callback number) and the summary is waiting in your texts before the morning shift clocks in. No overnight phone coverage to staff, no reservation left to a voicemail nobody hears. (Voice-channel share per eHotelier / Kalibri Labs.)
Check-ins and the phone shouldn't compete
One clerk, a line of arrivals, a ringing phone: whichever the clerk chooses, somebody waits. Forward the calls your desk can't reach and Elora takes them. Questions about check-in time, parking, breakfast hours, or the pet policy get answered from your actual policies, not guesses. Urgent guest matters transfer to the manager on duty. Routine ones become tidy messages your team reads between arrivals.
Speak to guests in their own language
Elora hears the caller and switches automatically: English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Nepali, or Hindi, with no button to press and no hold. A guest from Tokyo can ask about late check-in in Japanese and get a straight answer. You still receive the recap by text either way, so the desk always knows what was promised.

Common questions
01Can a guest book a room when the desk is closed?+
Elora takes the full request (dates, party, phone number) at any hour, and texts your team a summary immediately so you can confirm the reservation first thing. The inquiry that used to ring out at midnight becomes a booking on the morning list.
02What if a guest calls with an urgent problem at night?+
She transfers urgent calls straight through to whoever you choose: the manager on duty, your own cell. Everything else is captured as a message with a text summary, so the night stays quiet unless it genuinely shouldn't.
03We get international callers. How many languages does she handle?+
Six: English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Nepali, and Hindi. She detects the caller's language and switches on her own, mid-call if needed. There's no separate line and nothing for the guest to select.
04How does she learn our property's details?+
You give her your hours, rates context, and house policies during setup (about 15 minutes of your time) and she's live the same day. There's a one-time low-cost setup, then plans from $49.99 to $249.99 a month by call volume, with no contract.
